On the morning of September 4, the 2020 Annual Meeting of Medicinal Fungi Committee of China Edible Fungi Association and the Seminar for the Revision of the National Standard on Ganoderma Lucidum Spore Powder was grandly held at Fuzhou Strait International Conference & Exhibition Center (FSICEC). According to experts from China National Institute of Standardization, the "Standards on Harvesting and Processing Techniques of Ganoderma Lucidum Spore Powder" (GB /T 29344-2012) is currently the only national standard in the Ganoderma lucidum spore powder industry. This standard has been implemented for more than seven years and it is necessary to be amended because only the standard that keeps pace with the times can adapt to the new requirements of the market and can be further used to regulate and promote the healthy development of the Ganoderma lucidum spore powder industry.
An expert from China National Institute of Standardization said that "the prerequisite for the industry to go global is that standards go ahead of the rest".
"At present, there are 99 varieties of medicines with Ganoderma lucidum as the main ingredient, 430 drug approval numbers, and more than 1,200 health foods with Ganoderma lucidum/Ganoderma lucidum spore powder as the main raw material. The market demand for Ganoderma lucidum is huge, and the spore powder is the main force. "In the opinion of Li Ye, President of GANOHERB, the harvesting and processing process has a great influence on the quality of Ganoderma lucidum spore powder and even directly determines the quality of the final product of Ganoderma lucidum spore powder.
