Be a “Light-Chaser” in Science and Technology for the New Era On July 3, GanoHerb Group hosted a themed Party Day event titled “Carrying Forward the Spirit of Scientists, Carrying Forward the Red Legacy—Be a Light-Chaser in Science and Technology for the New Era.” The event commemorated the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and brought together Party members, Party membership applicants, and scientific and technical personnel for learning and professional exchange. The event featured Professor Lin Zhibin, Professor at Peking University Health Science Center and former Vice President of Beijing Medical University, who shared reflections on more than five decades of scientific research and academic development.

Opening the event, Chairman Li Ye welcomed attendees and highlighted Professor Lin’s longstanding contributions to scientific research and education.

Reviewing the Development of Chinese Pharmacology

Professor Lin presented a keynote lecture entitled “Promoting the Spirit of Scientists: A Review of the Development of Chinese Pharmacology.”
Drawing on the history of pharmacology in China, he reviewed the efforts of earlier generations of researchers who advanced the discipline under challenging circumstances. He emphasized the importance of scientific integrity, dedication, collaboration, innovation, and cultivating future talent.
Professor Lin also encouraged young researchers to strengthen their understanding of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and integrate their research interests with the continued development of science and technology.
Exploring More Than Five Decades of Ganoderma Research

Following the lecture, participants visited Professor Lin’s Ganoderma Academic Achievement Exhibition Hall, where original manuscripts, published books, research materials, and academic achievements documented his career in pharmacology and Ganoderma research spanning more than 50 years.
The exhibition provided younger participants with an opportunity to learn about the long-term commitment required for scientific research and academic innovation.
