Ganoderma is a genus of polypore fungi in the family Ganodermataceae. The Ganoderma described in both ancient and modern times refers to the fruiting body of Ganoderma, which is listed as a top-grade nontoxic medicine that helps prolong the lifespan and does no harm to the body if taken often or for a long period in the Sheng Nong’s Herbal Classic. It enjoys the reputation of “Immortal Herb” since ancient times. The application range of Ganoderma is very extensive. According to the dialectical view of TCM, this medicine is related to the five internal organs and tonifies Qi in the whole body. Therefore people with weak heart, lung, liver, spleen and kidney can take it. It can be used to treat diseases that involve respiratory, circulatory, digestive, nervous, endocrine and motor systems. It can cure various diseases in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, gynecology and ENT (Lin Zhibin. Modern Research of Ganoderma Lucidum).

GanoHerb Reishi mushrooms are cultivated organically in Chinese Ganoderma origin – Mt. Wuyi. The plantation covers an area of about 577 acres and we only grow one Reishi on one log. The plantation after being cultivated for two years, will lie fallow for three years.

Before planting Reishi mushrooms, we will sample and test the soil, water, air and the culture medium. It is necessary to ensure that no crops have been planted on this land and the soil needs to be free of heavy metals, the water and air also needs be clear and fresh.

Then we start the production of Reishi mushroom stock culture and spawn, use natural log for Reishi spawn cultivation and build the shed. The Reishi Mushroom here is nurtured with appropriate sunlight, fresh air and mountain spring water.

Reishi mushrooms normally experience three stages of growth including sprouting, pileus expanding and repening. We always get rid of weeds by hand. Finally we carry out spore powder collection and fruiting body drying to make products.
